A 28-year-old employee of a private bank died after he lost control of his two-wheeler and crashed into a pavement at Katriguppe on Sunday. The police said the victim, Mallikarjun, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was not wearing a helmet. Passersby rushed him to a hospital, but he did not respond to treatment, police said.
Ganja peddlers held
The Central Crime Branch police arrested two ganja peddlers in KR Puram on Saturday and recovered 13.5 kg of the banned substance worth Rs five lakh in the market.
The suspects are Masood Ansari (21) and Yaseen Haider (44). They are said to have procured the narcotic from Andhra Pradesh.
