<p>The government on Friday shunted out IAS officer N V Prasad as Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps on charges of illegally transferring 85 sub-registrars.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had recently cancelled the transfer done by Prasad <br />and directed the Revenue department to initiate action against him. <br />The chief minister’s action was actually aimed at disgruntled Congress leader V Srinivas Prasad, who was holding the Revenue portfolio till recently. The official had done the transfers on directions of Srinivas Prasad. <br /><br />N V Prasad has now been posted as the managing director of Karnataka Public Land Corporation. <br /><br />IAS officer Manoj Kumar Meena has taken N V Prasad’s post.<br />Besides, the government has transferred 24 other IAS officers. <br /><br />24 other transfers<br /><br />Names of the transferred officers and their new postings are as follows: Jawaid Akhtar, MD, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (he will hold concurrent charge as Principal Secretary to Health and Family Welfare department); Naveen Raj Singh, Secretary to Backward Classes Welfare department (he will hold concurrent charge of MD Mysuru Paper Mills Limited; Subodh Yadav, Secretary to Karnataka Public Service Commission; J Ravishankar, Additional Secretary to Horticulture department; N Manjula, Director Tourism; Rathan K Kelkar, Mission Director to National Health Mission; Sowjanya, Commissioner of Public Instruction; R Vishal, Director of Municipal Administration; V Anbu Kumar, Commissioner for Backward Classes Welfare department; G Satyavathi, Deputy Commissioner of Chikkamagaluru district; B M Vijayshankar, Special Commissioner (Projects), BBMP; Juuwal Kumar Ghosh, CEO, Centre for e-Governance, DPAR; M Deepa, Director of Women and Child Development department; P Rajendra Cholan, MD, Bescom; Ramandeep Chowdhary, MD, Hubballi-Dharwad BRTS Company Ltd; S S Nakul, Deputy Commissioner, Uttara Kannada district; S B Bommanahalli, Deputy Commissioner, Dharwad; B Sindhu, Deputy Secretary to Finance department; Pankaj Kumar Pande, concurrent charge as MD, KSSIDC.<br /><br /><br /></p>
