Prasad spikes reports on his appointment as governor

Former minister V Srinivas Prasad on Friday spiked the rumours that he is going to be appointed governor of Andhra Pradesh.

Reacting to reports in a section of the media that he would be appointed governor, Prasad said: “There is no such move. I wonder why the BJP or the prime minister will pick me as governor when there are so many leaders in that party. I have no intention of joining the BJP. My efforts to get Siddaramaiah removed as the head of the state government will continue. I am aware that the change will not happen overnight.”

Asked whether the chief minister would be meeting him, Prasad said he has no plans to meet Siddaramaiah. “The chief minister has no guts to meet me nor am I interested in meeting him.”
