HC unhappy over delay in setting up forensic labs

The Dharwad bench of the High Court on Thursday expressed disappointment with the government over the delay in implementing a government order to set up forensic sciences laboratories in all districts.

The court made an oral observation in this regard, while hearing a bail plea by Gavisiddappa and others in a case of suicide at Gajendragad of Ron taluk, Gadag district.

The suspects had brought to the notice of  the court the delay by the forensic lab in establishing the authenticity of the deathnote written by Chandrashekhar, the deceased.
A single bench of Justice Venugopal Gowda asked the government to submit a report on the steps taken in this regard and adjourned the hearing.
