The state government has suspended Block Education Officer (BEO) Prabhavathi Patil in connection with the death of two girls following a wall collapse at Yamakanamaradi Government Higher Primary School in Hukkeri taluk, Belagavi district, recently.
The government has taken this move following a report by DC N Jayaram who stated in the report that the BEO’s negligence was responsible for the incident.
The incident occurred at the school at Yamakanamaradi when the class was in progress.
The deceased class IV students had been identified as Shweta Koli and Lagamawwa Kattimani.
