Bidar leaders seek fertiliser plant in district

A delegation comprising elected representatives from Bidar district met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and sought that the mega fertiliser plant proposed by the Centre for north Karnataka be established in their district.

The delegation, led by district in-charge minister Eshwar Khandre, pointed out to the chief minister that Bidar was most suitable for setting up the plant as the 150-acre of land required for the plant was readily available. The district administration has identified a suitable location for setting up the plant.

The delegation also sought that an Information Technology and Incubation Centre, Advanced Technical Institute (ATI) and a government engineering college be set up in Bidar. They also sought a special package for irrigation projects in the district.
The delegation also comprised Bidar MP Bhagwanth Khuba, MLAs Rahim Khan and Rajashekara Basavaraj Patil, among others.
