Last Updated 07 August 2016, 18:35 IST

Not every home buyer will know about the nitty-gritty involved in checking the correctness of the house/apartment. Problems start arising only over a period of time.  To avoid such issues, Phi Property Management Service (PPMS) has launched home inspection services in Bengaluru under the brand name HomeInspeKtor.

HomeInspeKtor aims to operate as a marketplace for home buyers/sellers, home inspectors, realtors, housing mortgage companies and other players associated in the home inspection business.

Explaining home inspection, Vivek Bhat, Chief Business Officer and co- founder of HomeInspeKtor.com said, “Home inspection is a comprehensive examination of the condition of a property using tools, technology and well laid out process, often in connection with the buying/selling/ renting of that property. Typically, home inspections are conducted by a certified and well-trained inspector in a non-invasive method.”

He further said, “We have a team of inspectors, who have rich experience in the construction field, being part and parcel of the real estate industry. Even though home sales in India are comparable to those in the US in terms of volume, home inspections as a practice is hitherto not followed, which is where we come in.”

“As a trusted advisor, our goal is to enable customers to invest in properties with confidence and peace of mind by providing unbiased, objective feedback about the quality of the property, which we carry out using more than 100 robust parameters in checklists, tools and technologies by a qualified personnel.”

The company has a team that comprises industry experts, who have rich and diverse experience across the realty and software industries.

“We are discussing with 50 real estate developers in Bengaluru to showcase the value of pre-delivery inspections performed to international standards and therefore, deliver a quality product to the home buyer,” he added.

Sharing future plans, he said, “We will be expanding our network to other Smart Cities across India in the next nine months. We will be looking at a franchise model for our expansion plans. Besides, we are also considering entering North America and other markets like the UK, Spain, Dubai, Singapore, and the Middle East. Initially our targets will be North America and the UK markets.”

PPMS has partnered with InterNACHI — the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, the world’s largest trade association for property inspectors, to open its first chapter in India. The chapter will provide local home inspectors with access to all of InterNACHI’s offerings and a network of support, tailored especially for India, including education, training and certification.

“Our vision is to be the trusted advisor of home buyers and sellers. We will not be ‘walking the talk’ if we don’t excel in this business and only way we can do it is by gaining the trust of our clients. Our aim is to capture all aspects of your property during the inspection process and give you a realistic view of the property in our report; this is possible because of the dedicated and focussed team that we work with,” concludes Bhat.
