JOIN USSai Samarth, Mahantesh and Smaran slammed centuries as Ebenezer International School drubbed Vidyaniketan High School by an innings and 279 runs in the Group I, Division I under-16 cricket tournament for the KSCA Cup here.
Batting first, Ebenezer posted a mammoth 409 for nine in 85 overs before declaring their innings, with Mahantesh’s (114), Samarth (112) and Smaran (104 not out) making merry. Gagan KS dazzled with figures of 6/114.
In reply, Vidyaniketan failed to put up a fight and were bundled out for just 70 runs in 30 overs. Bhuvan (4/11), Suvir (3/23) and Anirban (3/29) shared the wickets among them.
Following on, Vidyaniketan could only muster 58 before being bowled out in 25.2 overs. Charan was the most successful bowler, claiming four wickets as Ebenezer emerged comfortable winners, bagging full five points.
