JOIN USWater inflow from Maharashtra continued to recede, leading to a dip in the levels in River Krishna and its tributaries on Saturday. The flow was near normal in Chikkodi, Raibag and Athani taluks. While all the low-lying bridges in Raibag and Athani opened for road traffic, two in Chikkodi continue to remain submerged.
Water inflow from Maharashtra into River Krishna came down to 1.14 lakh cusecs. The inflow from Rajapur barrage was 1.02 lakh cusecs and from River Doodhganga, it was 11,616 cusecs.
Kodagu district experienced scanty rainfall on Saturday. In the last 24 hours, the district received an average of 9.4 mm rainfall. The water level in Harangi reservoir stood at 2,857.95 feet. The inflow of water was 5,862 cusecs, while 2,997 cusecs was released into the river.
