19 from state get President's police medal on I-Day

Two police officers from Karnataka have been selected for the President's police medal for distinguished service and 17 police personnel, including three ACPs from Bengaluru for President’s police medal for meritorious service on the occasion of Independence Day.

A S N Murthy, Inspector General of Police (Internal Security Division), Bengaluru and Vijaya Kumar G Dambal, Additional SP, Ballari district will be conferred with  the distinguished service medal.

Those selected for the meritorious service medal are: M N Nagaraj, SP, Bagalkot; Manjunath Annigeri, SP, Special Investigation Team, Karnataka Lokayukta, Bengaluru; S Badrinath, ACP, KR Puram sub division, Bengaluru; Vinay A Gaonkar, ACP, Cubbon Park sub division, Bengaluru; V Mariyappa, ACP, Traffic, South sub division, Bengaluru; Somalingappa B Chabbi, ACP, North sub division, Hubballi; C A Siddalingaiah, Inspector (P), Kolar; M Shantharaj, Inspector (W), Central Workshop, Head Quarters, Bengaluru;  Pramod  S Dhage, Inspector (W), District Control Room, Bengaluru Rural district; Sreedhar Doddi, Inspector, Hospet Town, Ballari district; K S Praneshmurthy, PSI, State Intelligence, Bengaluru; P Nagaraj, ASI, Gandasi, Hassan district; T L Mudduraju Urs, ARSI, District Armed Reserve, Chikkamagalur; C K Padmanabha, ASI, District Crime Branch, Chikkamagalur; A M Palangappa, ARSI, 3rd Battalion, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bengaluru; K E Mathew, DAR, Shivamogga and C Hiriyannaiah, DAR, Chikkamagalur.
