Notorious woman history-sheeter Yeshaswini, 32, who was on the run for months, finally landed in police net on Friday. The CK Achukattu police caught her in the house of one of her associates.

Yeshaswini (in pic), a history-sheeter at the Basavanagudi police station who is wanted in several cases of cheating, robbery and extortion, was previously arrested on May 12 for assaulting Putta Thayamma, a resident of Kothanur. Thayamma had borrowed money from her on interest. When she failed to repay, Yeshaswini beat her up.

Thayamma went to the Subramanyapura police station and filed a complaint of assault against her. The same day, police arrested Yeshaswini near Hulimavu when she was trying to flee. On May 13, Yeshaswini complained of uneasiness and was admitted to a hospital on Bannerghatta Road.

But she escaped from there and went into hiding. She resurfaced on August 8 when she went to the house of another borrower, Usharani, in Kathriguppe and assaulted her for not paying interest. A senior police officer said Yeshaswini’s latest arrest was made possible by credible tip-offs.
