Four acres of govt land reclaimed in Periyapatna

The revenue officials, in an eviction drive conducted in the taluk under Hunsur sub-division on Friday, reclaimed four acres of government land

 A team lead by Hunsur Assistant Commissioner (AC) A Soujanya cleared the encroachment on the government land. The authorities demolished a home stay and business
establishments that had come up on 12 guntas of land in Giraguru in Karanahalli Hobli. The encroachment on the remaining land by the farmers to grow crops has also been cleared, the AC said.

Soujanya said, the district administration has directed to prepare a data base on the number of and extent of government land encroached by the private agencies and take necessary action to clear the same. “We will clear all encroached lands without any prior notice,” she said.

Periyapatna Tahsildar H R Rangaraju, Police Inspector Siddaiah, Revenue Inspector C Mahesh, and taluk survey officer B G Narayamswamy were present.
