Don't politicise issue: Sadananda Gowda

Union Minister for Programme Implementation and Statistics D V Sadananda Gowda on Monday appealed to all political parties and various organisations not to politicise the Cauvery water issue.

Appealing to the public to maintain peace, he said that since the decision on appealing to the Supreme Court was taken at the all-party meeting, all political parties are collectively responsible for the issue.

He told reporters that since the matter is being heard in the Supreme Court, at this juncture, there was no scope for intervention by the Central government.
