The programme which was scheduled to begin at 10 am started at 11.30 am. Participants were made to stand in scorching sun from beginning till it ended.

Scarcity of chairs

Hundreds of women from various Self Help Groups had assembled to exhibit their products. But most of them were forced to stand for lack of  proper seating arrangement. The organisers failed to provide chairs even after repeated appeals by the participants. Enraged women interrupted the inauguration of programme by Taluk Panchayat Vice-President T V Jayalakshmi. They demanded that the organisers provide them chairs first and later carry on with the inauguration function.

Even though they were provided with the chairs they could not escape scorching sun as the pandal did not cover the whole  venue.

Hapzard arrangements

The exhibition and sale of products by Women SHGs drew more attention for the haphzard arrangements made by organisers. A Few groups got the stall to exhibit their products. Those who failed to get the stall exhibited their products under trees.
