Ratna Prabha denied CS post as she is dalit: BSY

BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa on Sunday charged the state government with denying senior IAS officer K Ratna Prabha the post of chief secretary for being a dalit.

Speaking at the state executive meeting of the BJP Mahila Morcha in Bengaluru, Yeddyurappa charged the government with indulging in “machinations of the worst kind” to deny the post of chief secretary to Ratna Prabha in spite of she having all the necessary qualifications and experience.

Last week, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah decided to appoint senior IAS officer Subhash Chandra Khuntia, presently on Central deputation, to head the state bureaucracy.  However, Yeddyurappa on Sunday felt Ratna Prabha was deliberately being denied the top post.
