<p> Muthuraju, who rescued drowning actor Duniya Vijay on Monday during the stunt being performed at TG Halli reservoir, is a lesser known star for people. The police, NDRF, SDRF and fire and emergency teams which learnt of his talent used his expertise on Tuesday to help find the bodies. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Mutturaju, 36, is a fisherman residing at T G Halli, he has been swimming in the water and fishing in the water body since 20 years. “I know the water body like it is my backyard. The police and others have called me and my other fishermen friends to help them out. We are honoured,” he said. <br /><br />He, along with Anjanappa, Mayanna, Venkatesh and Anil Kumar, went in two coracles on Tuesday afternoon in search of Uday and Anil, whom they could not rescue on fateful Monday afternoon. <br /><br />Filled with silt<br /><br />They took fishing nets, ropes and hooks to search for the body. Muthuraju and Anil Kumar dived into the water many times searching for the bodies. But in vain as the water level varied from 40 to 60 feet and was filled with silt. <br /><br />The local fishermen said the film unit had approached them initially to help. But later they refused and said that they could manage the show themselves. “Later, their motor boat did not start and move at the desired time. So we did not care for anything and immediately rushed into the water to save the drowning people. But we could not make it on time and they drowned,” recollected Anjanappa. <br /><br /></p>
