Christians want a better deal

Karnataka Chraista Ranga (KCR) has stated that even the Congress party, which is considered to be the most secular of all parties have not bothered to consider anyone from the Christian community.

KCR President, Benedict Balu says that none of the Congress MLAs, including those representing the minorities even bothered to send a single Christian name to the Congress Selection Committee.

“Whatever the real reasons, the arguments conveniently put forward by these congress leaders are, that the chances of winning the elections by the Christian candidates are not very bright, as they do not have the necessary punch and the resources to fight the elections,” Balu stated. He hoped that if the party relied on such logic to choose candidates, then they were likely to lose the support of the minority communities such as Christians.
