“A few local newspapers have reported that Shetty is owning bar and restaurants in Mangalore which are against to the Gandhian principles. This fact has hurt the freedom fighters of the State. Shetty should immediately resign,” the Samiti General Secretary N R Mathad stated in a release. “If he continues to remain in the position, the freedom fighters will hold a protest in front of the DC’s office on May 12,” release added.
