200 players participate in 11th state-level Brigade Cup golf tournament

R B C Nair and I M Sharat bagged the first and second places respectively and S Raghunath won the man of the match in The Brigade Cup Open at the golf club at Karadihalli recently.

More than 200 players took part from Mysuru, Bengaluru, and Kodagu in the 11th state-level Brigade Cup Golf Tournament which went on for three days.

In the open category, R B C Nair and I M Sharat emerged as the winner and the runner-up respectively. In the Founders Cup Stableford category, K G Rakesh was the winner while Dr Niyat was the runner-up. In the Visitor’s Cup stroke category, M P Nived was the winner and A R Nithin runner-up.

Arun Kumar and B K Sathish were the winner and runner-up respectively at the B Shivappa Memorial Open Cup category. In the B Shivappa Memorial Handicap category, Babu and Nindow Poonaccha were the winner and runner-up respectively. Venkatesh was the winner and Kiran Nagaraj was the runner-up in the Brigade cup men’s category. In the CGC members category, A B Ravishankar and Ajoy Tippaiah were the winner and runner-up respectively.

In the CGC handicap category, A C Santhosh Kumar and A S Kartik Chandra were the winner and runner-up respectively. Dr Ramanna was the winner and Dr Siddeshwar was the runner-up in the Stable Fold category.

Joya Hussaini and Lakshmi emerged as winner and runner-up respectively in the Brigade Cup women’s category. Raja was the winner and Ismail was the runner-up in the CGC caddies category. S Raghunath won the ‘Longest Drive on the first hole’ category.

Superintendent of Police K Annamalai, Brigade Group M D Jayashankar and CGC founder president A B Sudarshan were present in the prize distribution ceremony.
