The district and sessions court here, on Thursday, granted advance bail to the four accused in the case pertaining to forcibly taking the statement of the victim in the sex scam involving former minister H Y Meti.
The accused are constable Subhash Mugalkhod, BJP leaders Ashok Lagaloti, Siddalinga Abalakatti, and Maruti Mirajkar, who has a courier business. They have been asked to furnish a bond for Rs 50,000 each. The four suspects have been directed not to leave the district without the permission of the court. They should appear for questioning whenever summoned by the CID officials.
