Haris takes over as Khaleel resigns

The Karnataka State Football Association elected N A Haris as the acting president on Tuesday. This is after its chief AR Khaleel demitted the office due to his failing health with immediate effect at a governing board meet held here.

“At the Governing Board Meeting of Karnataka State Football Association held on Tuesday, Mr AR Khaleel, president, Karnataka State Football Association announced that he is demitting office as president of KSFA with immediate effect due to his failing health,” a statement issued by the body stated.

“The Governing Board unanimously passed a resolution in the same governing board meeting duly electing Mr NA Haris, as ‘acting president’ with full powers of the existing president,” it added.
