JOIN USNotorious rowdy Sridhar (25), a resident of Attibele, was detained under the provisions of Goonda Act by the Bommanahalli police.
After driving an autorickshaw for a living for a while, Sridhar joined SKF factory as a mechanic. He quit the work and ventured into criminal world.
He is involved in several assaults, attempts of molestation and dacoity. The jurisdictional police submitted a report to the City Police Commissioner Praveen Sood seeking his permission to invoke the provisions of Goonda Act against Sridhar.
Based on the report, Sood ordered the police to detain him under the Karnataka Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Gamblers,
Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Slum Grabbers Act, 1985 (Goonda Act).
