Epaathsala aims to tap 10,000 colleges in next three years

Epaathsala, a leading provider of cloud-based solution for accreditation and compliance management of higher education institutions, aims to tap 10,000 colleges in the next three years.

“Currently, we are associated with 100 colleges in Bengaluru, and over 750 colleges across India. We want to tap 3,000 colleges in the next three years in Karnataka, and 10,000 colleges across India with our strategy to scale in sales and implementation,” Epaathsala Founder and Director Suman Nandy said.

The Bengaluru-based edtech startup has presence in 100 cities and plans to reach 250 cities in the next three years.

When asked about its strategy in expanding the network, Nandy explained, “There are about 40,000 educational institutes in India, which can be our potential customers. Even if we want to capture 20% of the market, the traditional sales strategy of door-to-door sales is not scalable. On top of that, the actual implementation of the project is also not scalable.”

“Our primary service is to help institutes get and maintain accreditations. The institutes can significantly improve their financial situation and improve the quality of the education simultaneously from our services,” he said.

“Our services are a no brainer for the institutes. We will organise conferences in each of the major cities in India and invite the decision makers. We believe that if we can get decision makers in the same room and we educate them on our services, our sales will explode,” he added.

The company offers enterprise resource planning (ERP)/student management system that the institutes can use to manage their daily processes.

“Karnataka is one of the most important markets for us. The customers here are very technically savvy and they truly understand our value proposition. In fact, almost all of our early customers were from Karnataka,” he added.
