The Karnataka High Court on Friday ordered notice to Manyata Promoters Pvt Ltd and MFAR Developers Pvt Ltd in a PIL filed seeking direction to take action against air and noise pollution generated by the chillers and coolers from the building of these private companies.
The petitioners, MS Ramaiah North City Residents’ Welfare Association, Thanisandra Main Road, have approached the court contending that despite Karnataka State Pollution Control Board warning these private companies to take necessary steps to curb pollution by March 2016, no action was taken by them. A division bench comprising Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice R B Budihal ordered notice and adjourned the hearing.
