“I will convene the meeting with an open mind. All prominent leaders of Congress and JD(S) will be invited and their suggestions will be sought,” Yeddyurappa told reporters in Bangalore on Tuesday.

However, the chief minister ruled out shelving the project.

Additional land notified for the project will be returned to the farmers. The project promoters Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) can then commence the road work simultaneously at Mysore and Bangalore ends, he said.

Former prime minister H D Deve Gowda can discuss the NICE issue inside the Legislative Assembly. The Opposition is free to discuss the project during the extended budget session to be convened soon, the chief minister said.

Circular railway will be a reality in Bangalore in three years. The government is also keen to take up the monorail project at the earliest in the city, he added.

In addition to these, the government will also take up construction of super speciality hospitals and satellite bus stations in all the four directions of Bangalore. The existing Race Course will be developed into a park after it is shifted, Yeddyurappa said.
