Webscale to invest in APAC market

Last Updated 25 February 2017, 17:27 IST

Webscale, a Silicon Valley-based startup that integrates web application delivery in the cloud, plans to invest a lot more in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) ecommerce market.

The company claims to have significantly expanded its sales and support office in Bengaluru, and it is now the second largest office.

“We will be investing heavily in the APAC ecommerce market and bringing on cloud provider partners that want our technology stack to allow them to compete with the leaders in cloud services like Amazon Web Services (AWS),” said its CEO Sonal Puri.

The company has been receiving thumbs up recently from investors as well. “Webscale has secured $20 million in funding with the most recent $12 million round in September 2016, which is being invested in research and development (R&D) and global sales,” Puri said.

“Since the launch, Webscale has been laser focused on delivering exceptional user experiences for ecommerce customers in North America, APAC and Europe,” she said.

With a new broader product line, enhanced security features, and new tools to expedite and simplify the deployment and ongoing management of new applications in the cloud, Webscale is now primed to move into the broader enterprise space in 2017,” she adds.
