Social Sciences scholarships
To recognise academic achievement, the University of Strathclyde’s Dean’s Excellence Award is offering international students a merit-based scholarship of up to £3,000 for entry into a full-time Master’s programme in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Mobile app development

General Motors (GM), the American multinational corporation is hiring an intern for  mobile app development profile in Bengaluru. Film Festival

Management entrance
SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), a deemed-to-be university has announced its entrance test NPAT 2017 for admission (session 2017-18). MSc entrance
The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2017 is for admission to the five-year integrated MSc programme in basic sciences- Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, an off-campus centre of HBNI and University of Mumbai-Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Science (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. Summer fellowship
The objective of Summer Fellowship Programme Bengaluru 2017 is to motivate applicants of MSc/Integrated MSc/Integrated BS-MS (in Physics/Astronomy)/BE/BTech for the summer programme from colleges and universities across the country for research. As part of this, Indian Institute of Astrophysics organises a summer fellowship programme every year, wherein applicants are exposed to research in Astronomy and Astrophysics.

The programme consists of a series of lectures at the Kodaikanal Observatory from May 16 to May 30, 2017. Selected applicants will get accommodation, food and travel allowance and some applicants will be selected to carry out short-term projects at IIA or its field stations from May 31 to June 30, 2017.

International scholarships
Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship 2017-18 provides a limited number of scholarships for outstanding graduate students each year to study postgraduate or PhD courses who have no other means of financing their studies. Scholarships in statistics
The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is inviting applications for the Entrance Exam Scholarship 2017-18, for the research and teaching activities in their four centres i.e Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Admission to this programme is strictly based on the merit as judged by their performance in past academic records, admission tests and interviews. The last date to apply is March 10. Student helpline
To help students in overcoming exam phobia, a special Fortis Exam Helpline (8376804102) has been launched. A counsellor will be available seven days a week between 9 am and 5 pm for guiding students and their parents, providing crisis intervention and answer anybody who is struggling to cope with exam-related stress, mental well-being, exam tips or even to consult a team of experts and behavioral psychologists.

Essay contest
The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) is inviting applications for the 12th Annual DNA Day Essay Contest 2017 on April 25.It is applicable for all the science students who are studying in Classes 9 to 12 across India. The essay should be 750 words long.

Candidates have to choose one example of gene therapy after 2005, describing the disease and cure which researchers are attempting to treat and explain how this approach is repairing the main cause of the disease. For more details, email dnaday@ashg.org.

National fellowship
The JC Bose National Fellowship (Science & Engineering Research Board) 2016 is meant to recognise active scientists and engineers for their outstanding performance and contributions. The duration of the fellowship will be initially for five years. The tenure of the fellowship may be extended for another five years for the second term, based on the performance in the first term.

The applicant should possess a higher degree or equivalent, namely PhD in Science/Engineering, Masters in Engineering or Technology/MD in Medicine etc. and must have carried out several years of work in the specific area. They must have a regular position in an institute/organisation and should be engaged in research. If s/he is availing any other fellowship, s/he will have to opt for only one of the fellowships. University of Southampton’s Business School, UK is offering several scholarships to international students, which in total can amount to 35% off from the tuition fees, for their full-time MBA programme.
