As he walks his way through his fans’ hearts, actor Suraj Gowda is also excited about his upcoming movie ‘Siliconn City’. The young artiste describes the project as one of the most challenging projects in his career. In a candid chat with Tini Sara Anien, he talks about the movie and his journey so far.

How is ‘Siliconn City’ turning out?

The music of ‘Siliconn City’ has been launched and is creating a buzz. The movie has been sent to the Censor Board and is awaiting the certificate. The team and I are awaiting the release of the movie with fingers crossed.

What are your expectations from the film?

The movie has turned out much better than what I expected it to be. This usually doesn’t happen. I am satisfied with the end result. I was given the freedom to work on the role. I have improved as an actor.

What plans for the year?

I still have a few days of shoot left for ‘Pradesha Samachara’ and I have a few other movies lined up. I am waiting for ‘Siliconn City’ to come out. I am very confident about this movie.

The movie is different from the other projects you’ve done...

As an actor, every movie is a learning process. None of the movies can be compared to the other as I played different roles in each of them. I played a chocolate boy in ‘Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole’ and here, one will also see me in a rougher version.

Of the roles you’ve played, which role was the most challenging one?

My character in ‘Siliconn City’ is the most challenging role I have done till date. It was fun yet taxing. The movie, which is a family entertainer-cum-crime thriller, will cater to all sections of the audience.

As an actor what are the things you always remind yourself?

An actor has to be friends with the camera and enjoy being around it. This is the only way he or she will be able to deliver great performances.

A genre you would like to explore...

I would love to do a biopic. When one is doing a fictional character, he or she can always add things. But, when portraying a real-life character, the actor’s body
language has to be real.

Actors you are most comfortable with in the industry...

I am comfortable with everyone in the industry. My journey has been really smooth. Chikkanna is one of the actors I am comfortable with.

An actor you would like to work with...

Many... I would love to work with Darshan. Among female artistes, I would like to work with Ramya.

What do you do to relax?

I have shifted from gymming to martial arts. It is more focussed and serves as a stressbuster. One needs a lot of concentration when pursuing martial arts. Also, I am trained in classical music and I sing to relax.
