Going the extra mile

Techno-cultural fest

The annual techno-cultural fest of RV College of Engineering, Mysuru Road, ‘8th Mile’, is taking place on March 25 and 26 at the college campus.

Taking inspiration from all things celluloid, this year’s theme for the fest is ‘Life in Technicolor’.

Apart from being a reference to all those timeless moments in cinema which have left an indelible mark on one’s mind, this theme hopes to serve as a powerful reminder to all the students to live life to the fullest.

Specsmakers will present ‘8th Mile’17- Life in Technicolor’, powered by Amadeus, and will include around 75 technical and cultural events.

From fashion shows to hackathons to ‘Battle of the Bands’ and ‘Campus Roadies’, the fest will feature a variety of events and competitions to bring out the best in the budding engineers and give them a platform to put their best foot forward and exhibit their talents.

During the evenings, RVCE will take on a different hue for its pro-shows. Apart from fusion shows on the opening night, March 25 wil see one of the most promising
student bands in the city, ‘Project Mishram’ open for the talented Anushka Manchanda.

On March 26, RVCE will bid ‘8th Mile’17’ a memorable farewell but not before an
exhilarating EDM night featuring India’s youngest house music producer duo, ‘Zephyrtone’ opening for ‘Lost Stories’.
