Last seen in ‘Anna’ in the lead role of social activist Anna Hazare, actor Shashank Udapurkar is  set to make a comeback with the story of Aditya Mehta, the first Indian para-cyclist to secure two silver medals at the para-Asian cycling championship (2013).

Interestingly, Aditya has completed a distance of more than 40k km to support the cause of amputee players. “I strongly believe that the story of every sportsperson is  interesting and motivating,  unfortunately, most of us has not witnessed the games of specially-abled persons. Till date, there is not a single film on para sports despite the fact that in the last few years India has done a fantastic job in Asian and Paralympic Games,” said Shashank, who is an engineer by profession.

“While I was reading about the Paralympic athletes, I got to know about the story of Aditya and I was completely moved by it,” he added. Moreover, the actor is currently spending time with the sportsman and trying to get into the skin of the character.
