Now, KSTDC package tour to Tirupati from Mysuru too

Tourists from Mysuru will now be able to avail the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) package tour to Tirupati directly, instead of coming to Bengaluru.

After nearly one year, KTSDC has been able to strike a deal with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board (TTDTB) to offer this service to devotees. KSTDC had requested the TTDTB to double the number of daily package tour passes from the existing 100.

“From April, dedicated package tours to Tirupati, similar to what is already being offered from Bengaluru, will start from Mysuru. Tourists will be taken in multi-axle AC buses for darshan. At present, the modalities on the number of buses is being finalised,” a KSTDC official told DH.

Details for offering the same services from Mangaluru and Hubballi are being finalised. KSTDC’s package tours to Tirupati are popular. KSTDC operates two daily package tours to Tirupati from Bengaluru with 50 seats in each bus. KSTDC will start with one bus a day from Mysuru and may increase it later.

The demand for KSTDC services is high because of the 24-hour package tour with timely darshan. The package offered by Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation is also in demand.

Tourists booking and boarding the bus from Bengaluru will be charged Rs 1,900 per person, while tickets for those from Mysuru would be around Rs 2,300 because of the distance. The rates include transportation, accommodation and Sheegra darshanam.
