Ramanavami music fest from today

 The 79th Sree Ramanavami National Music Festival will commence on Wednesday at Fort High School Grounds. Renowned Karnatic vocalist Bombay Jayashree Ramanath will present the inaugural concert.

According to Sree Ramaseva Mandali,  the organiser of the month-long event, as many as 10,000 people are expected to attend the concert. Scion of the erstwhile Mysore royal family, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will inaugurate the event at 5.30 pm.

Music stalwarts such as saxophonist Kadri Gopalnath, violin maestro Mysore Nagaraj, well-known vocalist K J Yesudas and others will perform in the fest, which will last till May 5.
