With the onset of increasing sales through the online channel, Blaupunkt India is looking at a seperate range of products for online as well as offline modes.

“We are planning to introduce a separate range of products for online and offline in order to ensure that offline retailers are profitable as well,” Blaupunkt India Director Pankaj Jagwani told DH.

Online sales contribute 3-4% of Blaupunkt India’s sales and the main source currently is Amazon.

“The products which will be sold online will be easy to install and cheaper when compared with offline products, and this model of seperate range will be introduced post the onset of GST in July,” he said.

“As far as our total turnover is concerned, we plan to end the current fiscal with Rs 120 crore compared with Rs 85 crore in the previous fiscal,” Jagwani added.

US-based car audio system manufacturer Rockford Fosgate had announced a partnership with Blaupunkt India for marketing and distributing its products in India through a distribution agreement.
