Have more girl children, avail benefits: BJP Chief

 
According to him, the State government has launched various welfare schemes for women like Bhagyalakshmi, Janani Suraksha among others. To avail maximum benefits of these schemes, women should not hesitate to have more number of girl children.

Girl child was considered as a curse by her parents. However, the State government in order to empower the girl children has initiated a number of welfare schemes. A girl child is no longer a curse but a blessing. Thus, women should not hesitate to give birth to girl children, he said addressing an International Women’s Day programme organised by Nirmala Seva Kendra in Shimoga on Saturday. Quoting his own example, the minister said, “I am a proud father of four daughters which I believe is the reason for my prosperity. A girl child brings peace and tranquillity,” he said.

BBMP polls

Eshwarappa exuded confidence that the BJP will come to power in BBMP by winning more than 120 seats.

He said that the Congress and the JD(S) which are mired in confusion over distribution of tickets will be humbled in the election. The BJP-led government in the State has announced development works worth Rs 3,000 crore for Bangalore city.

People in Bangalore want the BJP to win BBMP polls to undertake proper implementation of these works. The BJP will cruise to victory on the basis of development works initiated by the State government, he added.
