JOIN USThe Material Girl is stepping behind the camera to direct a historical drama based on the British royal King Edward VIII who abdicated in 1936 so he could marry twice-divorced American socialite Wallis Simpson - a move that rocked the British monarchy.
And her second directorial venture will also be her daughter's first stint in front of the camera, reported Sun online.
"She's arranged for a small role for Lourdes. It's not a significant part but it will give her a good taste of life in the movie business," said a source.
"Lourdes has made it clear she wants some kind of career in the entertainment industry and her mum is more than happy to help. She's already an incredible dancer thanks to years of classes and she's also been having singing training," the source added.
Madonna had previously refused to allow her daughter to step into the limelight. The 51-year-old star had banned the teen from appearing in a 'Harry Potter' movie after she was offered a role as a Hogwarts student by movie bosses.
