JOIN US Senior BJP leader K S Eshwarappa held secret parleys here on Wednesday on holding a convention of “BJP loyalists” on April 27 in Bengaluru.
An hour-long meeting was held at the residence of former minister Sogadu Shivanna on the outskirts of the city. It is said those who attended the meeting were of the opinion that the conduct of state party president B S Yeddyurappa was mainly responsible for the defeat of BJP candidates in Nanjangud and Gundlupet Assembly bypolls.
Some are said to have complained that Yeddyurappa was not responding to them. A leader said that it was decided to bring around 2,000 party workers for the loyalists’convention.
Former MLC Shivayogiswamy, former minister S A Ravindranath, former MLC Somanna Bevinamarad and other BJP leaders attended the meeting.
