Fire breaks out at BoI building in Mumbai

Fire broke out at the Bank of India building off the Bombay High Court at the Fort-Kala Ghoda area of Mumbai on Friday. 

There were no reports of casualties, however, office furniture and papers were destroyed in the fire. More than 400 persons working in the building was evacuated. The fourth floor of the  nearly 130-year-old heritage building was affected in the fire. 

The reason of fire is yet unknown.

Mumbai fire brigade chief P S Rahangdale himself supervised the fire fighting operations.

Around half a dozen fire tenders, water tankers and a snorkel was sent to the spot.

As of now, the fire has been doused and fire-fighting operations are underway.
