BSY sacks Santosh's aide working in BJP office

BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa has sacked a computer operator, working in the party office at Malleswaram in Bengaluru, said to be a close aide of the RSS functionary B L Santosh.

The action comes a day after Yeddyurappa squarely blamed Santosh as the mastermind behind the rift in the state BJP. Santosh is the BJP national joint general secretary (organisation). According to Yeddyurappa, Santosh is nurturing ambitions to become chief minister of Karnataka.

According to sources in the BJP office, the computer operator Mallikarjuna had provided logistical support for organising the ‘Save Party Organisation’ convention that was organised by K S Eshwarappa at Palace Grounds here on Thursday.

It is said that Mallikarjuna had designed the banner for the convention, used the office phone to call Santosh’s supporters to participate in the convention and sent e-mails to workers providing information about the convention. Realising this, Yeddyurappa called Mallikarjuna, pulled him up and sacked him, the sources added.
