A 35-year-old man was arrested for clicking photographs of a 19-year-old student at the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) office on Thursday.

The accused was identified as Senthil, an ex-serviceman. According to victim, she was interning with a national television news channel for almost a month and had come to the KSPCB on Church Street along with the reporter to take a sound bite of an official of Karnataka Lake Conservation and Development Authority.

When the student and the reporting crew were waiting at the reception, she noticed that a man sitting there was clicking her pictures on his phone. She informed the reporting crew who confronted the man, snatched his phone and found her pictures in it.

The man initially claimed that he is a journalist with a Tamil daily and also intimidated the reporting crew. The crew then headed to the jurisdictional police station and lodged a plaint. Senthil has been booked under IPC Section 509, (gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman). The Cubbon Park police have filed a case and are investigating.
