NEET today; candidates must report to centres before 9.30 am

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate medical and dental courses will take place on Sunday. Students are expected to report at their examination centres before 9.30 am.
Across the state, students will take the UG NEET 2017 exams at centres in Bengaluru, Kalaburagi, Davangere, Mysuru, Belagavi, Mangaluru, Hubballi and Udupi districts.

Students appearing for the exams have been asked to follow a strict dress code. They must wear light clothes with half sleeves without big buttons, brooches, badges or flowers with salwars or trousers.

Candidates will not be allowed to wear shoes and must wear only slippers with low heels. Last year, several candidates were forced to take off their shoes and enter the exam hall with bare feet to avoid any malpractices.

Students will not be permitted to carry any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry or pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, scale, writing pad, pen drives, erasers, calculators, log table, electronic pen or scanner.

Besides, candidates will not be allowed to carry any electronic gadgets including mobile phones, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager or health band.

All ornaments like rings, earrings, nose-pins, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, brooch or wrist watch, bracelet, camera, etc are not allowed.

Besides a strict dress code, students would not be allowed to wear any accessories to the centres. Items including wallets, goggles, handbags, belts and caps are banned. Students cannot carry water bottles or snacks, whether packed or unpacked, to the centres.

Entry to the examination hall: 7.30 am to 9.30 am
Checking of admit cards by the invigilator:
9.30 am to 9.45 am
Distribution of test booklet: 9.45 am
Seal of the test booklet to be broken/opened to take out the answer sheet: 9.55 am
Latest entry into the examination hall: 9.30 am
Test commences: 10 am
Test concludes: 1 pm

Water or snacks
Any stationery
Electronic gadgets
Any metallic item
Accessories

Must carry
Admit card, passport-size photograph and postcard-size photograph affixed on proforma.
Rough work: All rough work is to be done in the test booklet only. The candidate will not do any rough work or put stray mark on the machine gradable answer sheet.
Use blue/black ballpoint pen only:
Pen will be provided at the centre for writing of particulars on the test booklet and responses on the answer sheet.
