BJP's thought to make Congress-free K'taka is height of audacity

Chairman of Mysore Paints and Varnish Limited (MPVL) H A Venkatesh has said that the BJP leaders have exposed themselves, by leveling false allegations against the Congress government, led by Siddaramaiah, in the state.

In a press release here on Monday, Venkatesh has stated that the BJP has no morality to accuse the Siddaramaiah’s government as corrupt. “The BJP created a record by running the most corrupt government ever in the history of Karnataka. For the first time, a chief minister went to jail on corruption charges. Union Minister Ananth Kumar has ridiculed that the state is in darkness, but what steps has he taken to get funds to the state for drought relief?” he asks.

“The statements of the BJP leaders that Karnataka will be made Congress-free is the height of audacity. Electing a government is the responsibility of the people in a democracy. A party or a person cannot decide on the formation of a government. Now, the BJP leaders are speaking about including other backward communities and Dalits into the party fold. Appeasement of OBCs and Dalits smacks of election gimmicks. Welfare of the OBCs and Dalits and others should be the mantra for any party or government,” Venkatesh has stated.

The resolution of the BJP state executive committee meeting to congratulate the Union government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a mockery of democracy. “The BJP leaders should recall the suffering of the people, caused by demonetisation of high value currency notes. The Centre has been destabilising opposition ruled state governments, misusing its power,” he has said.
