Three killed, several injured in separate accidents

Three people, including a 9-year-old girl, were killed and several others are injured in separate road accidents in the district on Sunday. Santosh (26), a resident of Banashankari in Bengaluru, was killed on the spot when the car he was travelling in fell into a roadside ditch on Nanjangud Road. Santosh, along with three of his friends were heading towards Mysuru after visiting Nanjangud when the accident occurred. Nanjangud Traffic police have registered a case and investigations are on.

In another accident reported at Karimuddanahalli Cross near Devagalli in Mysuru taluk, a 9-year-old girl was killed on the spot while six others injured when the goods autorickshaw they were travelling in toppled. The deceased has been identified as Nandani, a resident of Rajaji Colony in Nanjangud. The victims were returning home after attending a wedding function at Gadige. Billikere police have registered a case in this connection.

A two-wheeler rider killed after he rammed his bike to a compound wall Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering in the city in the wee hours of Sunday. The police have identified the victim as Rathan, a resident of Kadaga in Kodagu district. Rathan had come to the city to attend a family event. The VV Puram police have registered a case and investigations are on.
