Gehlot says 'all is well' in Guj Congress, CM dubs it as a 'disaster'

The Congress party on Wednesday once again reiterated that there are no differences with Shankarsinh Vaghela and other party leaders in Gujarat. "There are no differences and we are in constant touch with Shankarsinh Vaghela, whether he is in India or abroad. We always talk with easy candour,” Ashok Gehlot, Congress party in-charge, said Wednesday while addressing the media persons at the beginning of his three-day visit to the state. “See Congress in the state has been out of power for over two decades and now people want change in government.”

He asked ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to worry about its party when asked about BJP. “They should worry about their party lest its members move over to join Congress,” Gehlot added.

Gehlot’s reaction came after chief minister Vijay Rupani took a dig at internal strife in Congress. “It is an internal matter but it is a big disaster and hope god helps them,” chief minister told media persons. He was reacting to question on some of the posters that had cropped up at local Congress functions in the city where pictures of the leader of the Opposition in state Assembly, Shankarsinh Vaghela, were missing. These posters had photographs of all the state leaders but of Vaghela.
