JOIN USFamilies living in an apartment near Marathahalli faced tense moments for a while on Sunday morning after the foundation of a shed close to the building compound developed cracks.
It major Oracle has taken up a project to construct a seven-storey building at Kadubisanahalli near Marathahalli. A big pit has been dug for the foundation of the building. The pit is full to the brim following incessant rainfall over the last few days.
An apartment named 'Utopia' is adjacent to the under construction site. A makeshift shed has been constructed across its compound where the incident occurred.
The BBMP staff and the local police rushed to the spot for monitoring the situation after inmates of the apartment informed them.
Precautions and safety
Local BBMP staff have been directed to evacuate families from the apartment as a precautionary measure. The BBMP expert team will conduct a soil test on Monday, while the local police have directed the contractor for the project of Oracle company to take safety measures.
