JOIN USA sailor was thrashed by people in the naval dockyard of Visakhapatnam on Friday for filming a woman while she was taking bath.
Sandeep Narwal, who was stalking the woman for the past three days, was caught red-handed and handed over to the police.
Non-commissioned officer Narwal, a lead mechanical engineer, was arrested under IPC Section 354(3) and section 67(A) of the Information Technology Act.
Narwal, a native of Haryana, was chased away by local residents on Wednesday after he peeped into the woman’s house. On Thursday he returned and knocked at her door acting as a prospective tenant. On Friday, he waited for the woman to enter the bathroom and started filming her on his mobile phone through the ventilator.
Her neighbours caught him and found the video clip of the woman on his cell phone. The police said Narwal is married and had planned to blackmail the woman with the clip.
