After being sidelined from the AIADMK party, T. T. V. Dhinakaran is expected to meet his aunt V K Sasikala, who is in Bengaluru prison, on Monday to discuss his next course of action.

Dhinakaran, who was granted bail by a Delhi court on Friday, reached Chennai. He was arrested last month for allegedly attempted to bribe officials of the election commission to obtain 'two leaves' symbol for AIADMK (Amma) faction.

Though Edappadi group openly stated that Dhinakaran was removed from the party, Sasikala's nephew continues to assert that none had the power to remove him from the post, which was given by party general secretary (Sasikala).

"Who said I am not in the party. I will continue to engage in party works. I would seek the advice of general secretary Sasikala on various issues tomorrow," Dinakaran said.

AIADMK party sources said that Dhinakaran was annoyed that none of the ministers met him after he reached Chennai on Saturday. Though few MLAs met Dinakaran, Edappadi Palaniswami and senior ministers were yet to meet him.

Education Minister K A Sengottaiyan said chief minister alone could take a decision on Dhinakaran.

The other AIADMK group led by former chief minister O Panneerselvam still insisting that merger of both factions is possible only if Sasikala and Dhinakaran should be officially removed from the party.
