After a pretty sedate start from the ten-horse field, Brigade’s Pride took the lead, followed by Table Mountain and Raptor Force. With the straight in sight and all the horses pretty much bunched up together, Tuthmosis made a move and jumped into the lead. Raptor Force (Imran Chisty up) and Vinod Shinde-ridden Oban made a late charge, but Narredu did enough to hold off the two horses and win by three-fourths of a length from Raptor Force.
Oban and Star Assembly, ridden by Vivek, finished third and fourth respectively. Favourite Spearhead disappointed with a sixth placed finish.
