When India defeated Pakistan in their opener match in Champions Tophy 2017, Virender Sehwag took to twitter to congratulate the team on their victory.

However, that did not sit well with retired Pakistani cricketer Rashid Latif took to twitter with a video, insulting Virender Sehwag, saying "when we were in uniform, you were in liquid form" and asked "you do know what liquid form means? should I send it in writing?".

The tweet attracted much attention from fans of cricket in India, who promptly got to tearing Latif's comments apart. However, Sehwag, who was directly named in the tweet, simply decided to answer calmly, with another tweet saying "a meaningful silence is always better than meaningless words".

Manoj Tiwary, however, was not so peaceful, and took to twitter to berate Latif for his distasteful comments, saying he was merely "looking for 60 seconds of fame":
