Now, Hampi sojourn begins at 6 am

Tourists can now begin their sojourn of the monuments in the heritage town of Hampi at 6 am itself, thanks to the change of timings effected by the authorities concerned.

The new timings have come into force from Monday. Hitherto, the tours would start at 8 am. Authorities said the changes were made keeping in mind the convenience of tourists who come from around the world.

Many tourists like to view the monuments at sunrise. Tourists can visit the monuments like the Vijaya Vittala temple, Lotus Mahal and Anesalu Mantapa between 6 am and 6 pm, Ravindra, junior assistant conservation officer of the Hampi circle of the Archaeological Survey of India, told DH.
