Tensions are flaring up in the virtual world as cricket fans of India and Pakistan have already begun salivating at the prospect of an India-Pakistan final even before India try to secure their place by trying to edge out Bangladesh in its semi-final round today.
Following Pakistan's victory against England in the semi-final match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 that granted them their spot in their first ever finals in the tournament history, several Twitter users including members of the cricket fraternity praised Pakistan's performance on the field.
Mohammad Kaif, for instance, pointed out that only teams from the sub-continent have made it to the final leg of the tournament.
So only teams from the subcontinent remain in a world event hosted in England ! How times change .

Well done Pakistan today!#PAKvENG #CT17
However, it didn't take longs for people to begin poking fun and making jokes. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, for instance, joked about Pakistan losing to India and fans “breaking TV”.
As Pak stun Eng to enter #iccchampionstrophy2017 final, sympathies to the poor fanatics who broke their TVs when they lost to us last week!

Veteran Bollywood star Rishi Kapoor went a step further than Tharoor and definitely predicted the outcome of the prospective game.
Congratulations Pakistan! You enter finals? Wow! Good to see you wearing our colour BLUE! Get ready to be BLUED now! We will BLUE you away!

England surrenders and goes away leaving India, Pakistan and Bangladesh behind to fight among themselves. I have read that script before.

Others commented on the fact that the scheduled date for the finals is incidentally also Father's day.
Hey Pakistan, don't celebrate too much. Also, don't expect any mercy from us on June 18th just because it is Father's Day too..#IndvPak
